Equipment and skills
Equipment and its effective use form a significant part of the successful surveillance operator’s daily routine and operations mounted on foot or in vehicle require the use of licensed covert radio systems. CSG surveillance operators employ a unique sophisticated coding system for voice communications in order to avoid compromise or misinterpretation. Each operator has video and still photography capability with the addition of sophisticated covert video recording available both day and night.
CSG teams are also equipped to operate in rural environments, where the lack of available light during night time operations might become an issue. In order to support this we have equipped the teams with night vision capability and are currently evaluating a range of high definition equipment. CSG has the ability to deploy a range of transport options from cars, vans and taxis to motorcycles and fixed or rotary-winged aircraft. These can be used in conjunction with trackers, remote listening devices and cameras and we have the capacity to employ Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM).
